Highland on the Rideau 2019 Cancelled
The Smith Falls Gordon Pipe Band have decided to cancel the 2019 Highland on the Rideau. Registered competitors will be refunded their registration fee. The announcement was made here http://www.gordonpipeband.com/hotr/

With this latest cancellation the number of Eastern Ontario Champion Supreme events for soloists of all ages is down to
the Kemptville Indoor Games on May 4,
the Kingston Scottish Festival (drummers only) on May 25,
the Glengarry Highland Games on August 2 and 3,
the North Lanark Highland Games on August 24.
Pipers Rendezvous September 27, 28 and 29, 2019
Registration and an Early Bird deposit price of 150$ca per person before May 1st will secure a place at the 2019 Rendezvous at Orford Musique, on the 27, 28 and 29 of September. A minimum of ten participants are required to register and pay the 150$ca deposit by 1st May. The event is self financing as there is no financial support available from Lowland and Borders Piping Society or other agencies this year. Full refunds will be given if there is insufficient support.
This event is a friendly, inspiring and supportive Canadian Scottish teaching weekend for Scottish small pipes and Border pipes and their music, tutored by tradition bearers to high standards, and passing on tunes and techniques. It is a relaxing and co-operative time in a beautiful place; close to nature yet provided with modern facilities, great food and accommodation.Those attending will be encouraged to participate and have the opportunity to play with others and to perform if they so wish.
